The Friends of the Library in Pelham was founded over 30 years ago in October 1976.

What is the Friends of the Library?  It is a group of citizens who have joined together to support, improve and promote our Library.  They understand the importance of library service to the community and work in a variety of ways to help provide quality service and to stimulate use of the library.  The Friends provide materials, services and special programs that supplement and enhance the library’s regular budget.  These “extras” include children’s programs, museum passes, library books and materials, and audio-visual equipment.

Why join the Friends?  Your membership demonstrates to the community that you feel the library is an important institution in the life of Pelham.  As a Friend, you can limit your involvement to a yearly monetary contribution, or you can become as active as you like in the Friends’ fundraising and cultural activities.   Click HERE for a downloadable membership application in PDF format.

The Friends usually meet at the Library the second Tuesday of each month from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

For timely notices of meetings, book sales and special library events, sign-up for the Friends email distribution group at:  PelhamFLIP-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
