Children's Room!
Check below for our schedule of story times for the up-coming school year. There are some exciting new opportunities for get-togethers! Story times are offered for children from infancy to 5 years old. Regular weekly story times run from September through December and from January through April. When school is cancelled due to weather conditions, please call the library to see if story times will be held. Story times are not held during school vacation weeks. Ages 3 and 4.
Learn American Sign Language
Craft for Middle School Students September 16, 2010 at 1:00pm 6th-8th graders are invited to drop by the library for a fun craft to do on your day off from school. Please call the library to register, a $1.00 donation is asked to cover materials.
Fourth
through Sixth graders are invited to join Miss Debbie for her monthly Great
Stone Face meetings. The group will read Great Stone Face books and do fun
contests, arts & crafts. Every year 25 books are
nominated by the Children's Librarians of New Hampshire (CHILIS) and named
Great Stone Face Books. Children vote on their favorite books in April and the
winner is announced in May. The purpose of the award is to promote reading
enjoyment, to increase awareness of contemporary writing, and to allow children
to honor their favorite author.
September is Library Card Sign-up Month!
The Pelham Public Library wants to make sure that all children in Pelham have
the smartest card of all – a library card.
Take the kids to the museum! Check out our full list of free and discounted museum passes here! *Policy Note: Children under the age of 9 may not be left unattended in the Library and must be directly supervised by a responsible adult or caregiver 16 years or older. Children over the age of 11 may use the Library unattended provided that their behavior is not disruptive. |
