Between the Covers:
An Evening with the Authors
Monday, October 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM

Are you trying to publish your novel?
Or are you just trying to start writing your book?

Wherever you are in your literary journey — from the germ of the story idea to binding the completed novel “Between the Covers” of a book — New Hampshire authors Nikki Andrews and Julie MacShane can guide you to the path of publishing success.

Join them at the Pelham Public Library for an evening discussing the writing life.   They'll answer your questions and share their insights into:

  • The passion and pitfalls of writing a novel in a month — they are both veterans of the National Novel Writing Month challenge.

  • Writing about non-conventional women — Nikki's main character is a racing driver, while Julie spins tales about a firefighter.

  • The world of self-publishing — new technologies allow everyone a greater voice in today's world.

Nikki Andrews is the author of Chicken Bones and A Windswept Star.  Her current project is Framed, a murder mystery set in an art gallery.  She has been published in The Occasional Moose, and she received an Honorable Mention in the 2006 Writers Digest National Writing Competition. Pelham author Julie MacShane has published two books:  Soot and Sweat on Flesh and Torch.  She is currently working on the third novel in the series, tentatively titled On Fire.  She is an editor on a technology magazine and has been published in the Nashua Telegraph.  Visit her website at www.juliemacshane.com .
